A young woman is rescued from a potentially life threatening marriage, as a result, she travels with her new husband aboard the Southern Pacific’s new rail line from New York to San Francisco. Her husband dies on the train and she and her deceased husband’s remains are removed from the train and left under a tree in Virginia City. An unexpected confrontation with her previous husband, ‘The Allen,’ ends up in a tussle. A handsome Virginia City gentleman intervenes and the young woman’s life takes an unexpected path.
